Construction Membranes: ProctorWrap High Tensile

ProctorWrap High Tensile
roof applications

ProctorWrap High Tensile (HT) is a UV stabilised, rot proof and tear resistant 3-ply spun bonded polypropylene fabric with reinforcement scrim.

It has been designed to protect the insulation and the building fabric from moisture ingress during construction and for the life of the building. Unlike foil products, ProctorWrap HT due to its high vapour permeability lets the building breathe. In temperate climates the membrane permits vapour to escape without reaching dew point thus preventing condensation and related problems such as mould, timber rot, corrosion and loss of thermal resistance. All Proctor Roofshield and ProctorWrap breathable (vapour permeable) membrane has a vapour resistance of not more than 0.5 MNs/g when tested to AS/NZS 4200.1.

ProctorWrap HT has been designed to meet the stringent AS/NZS 4200.1 requirement for classification as a medium duty membrane for use under tiles roofs.

Classifications in accordance with AS/NZS 4200.11:

Duty: Medium
Emittance: Non-reflective
Water Barrier: High
Flammability Index: Low

A product identifier code is printed on the membrane at 1m intervals. This product has been manufactured in conformity with EN 13859-1:2. Quality control checks on the finished product include:

  • Weight
  • Tear
  • Dimensional stability
  • Reaction to fire
  • Tensile strength and elongation
  • Water resistance
  • Water vapour transmission
  • Properties after artificial ageing
